Aurelio Mattucci visits over 1,200 Torrance Business Owners in person

Since campaigning started, I have visited over 1,200 local Torrance Business Owners and made it clear that the city will become a working partner in the lives of these hard working families and that the permitting and licensing process needs to be streamlined. Businesses are the heart beat of the city and a vital part to our economy. The revenue generated from our local businesses help fund every ...aspect of our city, including the many beautiful things we enjoy as residents. Parking in the Old Torrance area of the city is also something that Old Torrance business owners are all talking about quite frequently. A good solution is building parking lots along Cabrillo and adjacent side streets that would serve as dedicated tenant and employee parking lots for the hundreds of employees working the downtown area. We must leave the parking along Sartori open to customers and not expect shoppers to walk a couple blocks to get to their vehicles. Employees are equally important but without shoppers there would be no need for employees. As a city, we need to listen to the people and not make decisions on personal judgment or opinion. Ask the people, and you shall find the answer.
